UKC Agility Assigned Course Time

For standard courses:
Assigned Course Time (ACT): The Judge will set the ACT by first measuring the typical efficient dog's path through the course. He will then divide the course yardage by a yards per second (YPS) factor that he feels is reasonable, considering the complexity of the obstacle arrangement.

The ACT for dogs is calcuated as follows:

  • Division Toy: ACT + 5 seconds
  • Divison Toy Veteran: ACT + 10 seconds
  • Division 1: ACT + 5 seconds
  • Division 1 Veteran: ACT + 10 seconds
  • Division 2: ACT
  • Division 2 Veteran: ACT + 5 seconds
  • Division 3: ACT
  • Division 3 Veteran: ACT + 5 seconds
  • Divison 3 Giant Breed: ACT + 5 seconds

For dynamic tunnelers:
The dogs will be divided into the standard height divisions (4", 8", 14", 20"). The standard course time (SCT) is based on the yards per second below:
Novice:

  • 4” - 2.25 yards per second
  • 8” - 2.75 yards per second
  • 14” - 3.25 yards per second
  • 20” - 3.75 yards per second

Elite:

  • 4” - 2.75 yards per second
  • 8” - 3.25 yards per second
  • 14” - 3.75 yards per second
  • 20” - 4.25 yards per second

Veteran dogs will receive the same course time as the height division immediately below their own.
